Check tires monthly

Picture
Tires lose 1 PSI  every month, especially when the weather is cold.  So be sure to check your tire pressure monthly.

change oil and filter regularly

Be sure to check your oil level at least once a month and change your oil every 4000 miles for standard or 6000 miles for synthetic.  Engine oil is the life blood of your vehicle, it needs to stay nice and clean.

rotate your tires

Rotating your tires significantly increases the life your tires.  You should rotate your tires every 6 to 8,000 miles (every other oil change). You'll be amazed at how much mileage you get out of your tires.

cabin air filter

Most vehicles now have an air filter that filters the air inside the cabin.  This filter should be replaced at least every two years or 18,000 miles.  If you are noticing a reduction in the air volumn coming out of your vents, or are smelling a musty smell, chances are you need to replace your cabin air filter.

engine coolant system

You should have your vehicle's coolant system flushed every 5 years or 60,000 miles.  Don't wait until the coolant starts to break down and turns your coolant system into the Red River. Rust is like a cancer...once your vehicle has it, it's never completely gone.

transmission service

Transmission fluid is just as important as egine oil, it just takes a little longer to start breaking down.  You should replace your fluid, filter and gasket every 60,000 miles.
